Damian Aspinall isn’t Tarzan, but he did grow up surrounded by an array of exotic wildlife.
In 1957, his father, John Aspinall, founded the Howletts Wild Animal Park. Damian spent his childhood inside the 700-acre estate in Kent, England. Damian even had a gorilla as a surrogate mother. In fact, she once helped him climb down a tree he was stuck in and wiped his tears away afterwards.
